About Neeraja

After a legal career practicing criminal defense and corporate litigation on Wall Street, Neeraja Viswanathan became a journalist and author. Her first book, The Street Law Handbook: Surviving Sex, Drugs and Petty Crime (2004) was a tongue-in-cheek look at the legal consequences of petty crime. She has written for The New York Times, The Ladies Home Journal, Alternet.com, and High Times, among other publications. Neeraja has a Masters in English and Film from NYU and currently blogs about movies adapted from mystery and suspense novels on mysteryonscreen.com.

You can find Neeraja on Twitter as @bad_indian_girl  to discuss infamous women of history, British mystery novels, film adaptation of novels or cute animal videos. She currently lives in Oakland, California but is still a New Yorker in her head.
